Giving Tuesday
Giving Tuesday is a global generosity movement that encourages people to contribute to the causes and organizations they support. The Tuesday after Thanksgiving, which this year is November 28th, is used as a day to celebrate generosity with whatever means possible. For Non Profits, Giving Tuesday has become a day of charitable giving where individuals, organizations, and foundations are encouraged to contribute in order to support the work of non profits. If you are able, we greatly appreciate any and all donations!
Here's some information about where your donation could go. We have a wide variety of programs but below we dive into specifics of one program in each of our three pillars of Family, Health & Wellness, and Education
Family
We at Greater Valley value the wellbeing of every generation of our family. Golden Living is our senior group that provides local seniors with educational, social, and physical activities!
$25 Can sponsor a local senior to attend cultural events around Pittsburgh!
health & Wellness
Millions of people across the U.S.experience hunger daily. We partner with Greater Pittsburgh Food Bank to alleviate this hunger in our community. Every first Thursday of the month, we help feed dozens of families with weeks supply of pantry staples, vegetables, and dairy. We also host seasonal food drives for high volume times such as Thanksgiving.
$50 Can help us support a local family with a month of food
Education
Education for local youth is of the utmost importance. With a daily after school program and annual 6 week writing summer camp, we serve children 1st-12th grades!
$100 can sponser one student for our 6 week Camp WOW camp next summer!
